SYNOPSIS
Darker After Midnight [formerly The Tormented] is a classic ghost story set in contemporary times. Filled with mystery, drama and suspense, DAM follows in the tradition of supernatural thrillers such as ‘The Others’ and ‘The Orphanage’.
Monica - a trainee estate agent - arrives at an isolated vineyard to prepare it for auction, following the mysterious death of its owner. Struggling to ignore a dark presence looming in the shadows, she delves deeper into the twisted history of the former residents and their obsession with a family heirloom.
Monica is hindered by the arrival of her old friend Rachel, sent under the guise of support but with instructions to lure Monica home. The closer Monica gets to purging the house, the more vicious the spirits become, forcing her to make a choice: return to the suffocating comfort of home, or push on to face the terrifying unknown.
